Guldborgsund has a great number of attractions and interesting sights.

Marielyst Tourist Resort is one of Denmark’s most popular holiday areas. It offers a 20 km long sandy beach along the eastern coast of Falster, a 20 km long stretch of paradise. For 3 years in a row, it has been awarded as the best beach in Denmark. There are nearly 8.000 holiday cottages as well as hotels and camp sites. And there are great shopping offers and activities like go-cart, paint-ball, mini golf and many restaurants.

Guldborgsund offers three 18-hole golf courses of international standard – a genuine Eldorado for golfers. The courses have individual characteristics, but all three give golfers an extraordinary opportunity to experience the wonderful nature.

Fuglsang Art Museum presents Danish paintings, sculptures and sketches from the 18th century to the present day with emphasis on the period from 1850 to 1950. Fuglsang Art Museum was designed by the famous English architect Tony Fretton. In 2009 the Museum building was awarded by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

You just must experience the Medieval Centre, located just outside the city of Nykøbing Falster. It´s a place that makes history come alive! The Centre is unique in its size with many houses and workshops and the determination of being as historical authentic as possible.

Knuthenborg Park is Denmark’s largest safari park. It provides a setting for thousands of free-range animals (among them are tigers). Funny stories and involving intimacy with nature, animals and the people are part of the experience.

The Crocodile Zoo is a must when visiting Lolland-Falster. The Zoo at North Falster is the only one in the world that has all of the 23 living crocodile species in the world.

Cycling as a means to explore the charming countryside is a popular leisure-time pursuit. There is a whole host of cycle routes to choose from. Remember that you can rent bicycles locally.
