Among many other events, Szczecin is famous for its annual festival “Bonds of culture”. As the festival’s name expresses - "Bonds of Culture" - many shows are presented in which common elements are tried to be connected stylistically to form artistic expressions and various cultural spaces. The intention is to overcome stereotypes related to cultural differences.
Other popular events are "Sail Szczecin" and "Magnolia Rally".
Furthermore, Szczecin has a variety of cultural institutions such as museums and theatres and several sports facilities.

The idea of sailing ship races was born in England at the beginning of 1950s. In 2007 the final of TTSR took place in Szczecin and the city will organize it in 2013 for the second time. It is a unique occasion to get to know traditions, experience a unique atmosphere or work on tall ships.
